What: Join us in supporting local queer-owned businesses and organizations!
When: Saturday, September 21, 10 AM – 2 PM
Where: The GLO Center
What: Join us at the Nature Center for the program “Reptiles & Amphibians” – featuring live reptiles and amphibians and a focus on the separate species of each group! This activity features an indoor portion and a guided hike, each lasting about 45 minutes.) Who: To give LGBTQ+ families with kids 11 and under an opportunity to meet with each other and connect with nature.This event is for LGBTQ+ kiddos aged 5-11, accompanied by a grownup (this is not a drop-off event – grownups must stay with their kids.)

Where: Springfield Conservation Nature Center
What: The GLO Center is partnering with Beyond Healing to offer a new therapeutic support group to provide a safe, open space for adolescents to explore their identities, find community, and develop healthy coping skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. To reserve a spot, email therapy@beyondhealingcenter.com. Who: For LGBTQIA+ teens ages 14-18.
When: Every Friday from 6-7 PM, starting September 27th through November 15th.
Where: Springfield Conservation Nature Center
What: The annual meeting is a time for GLO members to come together, elect board members, and celebrate all that we have accomplished this year! 🎉
It will include live music, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar (which will include non-alcoholic drink options as well). Who: The annual meeting is free for GLO members. If you need clarification on your status as a member, please email aaron@glocenter.org for more information. When: Monday, September 30, 5:30 PM – 8 PM
Where: This year’s annual meeting will happen in a new location (provided upon RSVP).
What: Join GLO at our Banned Book Club where we’ll be reading a series of books that have been or could be banned, followed by discussions on the books, novels, and writings. October Book: Native Son by Richard Wright
