Rainbow Kids

LGBTQIA+ Youth ages 5-11

Rainbow Kids is GLO's youth outreach program for LGBTQIA+ kids aged 5-11 (accompanied by a grownup). A variety of weekend events are held throughout the year both at the GLO Center and off-site, to provide kids a chance to get to know each other and have fun together.

Collins Chetwin, GLO's Youth Coordinator, oversees the Rainbow Kids program.

Springfield Cardinals PRIDE NIGHT

What: Come out, celebrate Pride, and watch the Cardinals beat the Arkansas Travelers! A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit The GLO Center.

Queer Artist Showcase - Royal Music Hall

What: We are celebrating Pride Month with a very special Queer Artist Showcase! Presented by The Royal Music Hall and IT’S OKAY MGT to benefit The GLO Center!

Volunteer Orientation at GLO

What: Interested in being a GLO Volunteer? This orientation will familiarize you with the GLO Center’s work and prepare you to be a GLO volunteer. Before the meeting, please fill out the volunteer form (at the link below).

GLO Banned Book Club

What: Join GLO at our Banned Book Club where we’ll be reading a series of books that have been or could be banned, followed by discussions on the books, novels, and writings. July book: The Heaven and Earth Grocery Story by James McBride.
