Become a Member

The GLO Center exists because of its members. Our members are the people who show up, give what they can, and make sure this community has a home.

Members sustain the Center through financial contributions, volunteer time, or often a combination of both. A gift of $12 or 12 hours of volunteer service qualifies you for a GLO membership for one year. If you’ve met this qualification and were not offered the chance to become an official member of The GLO Center, email Aaron Kitchens at aaron@glocenter.org.

Beyond keeping the lights on, our members play an important role in the life of the organization. As a member, you are part of GLO’s formal governance structure. Members are invited to participate in the annual membership meeting each fall, where they vote on candidates for the Board of Directors. This ensures that community members have a direct voice in the leadership and future of the Center.

Being a GLO member is far more than a donation. It means you are part of a community that shapes, sustains, and protects this space for LGBTQIA+ people in our region.
