Ozarks Inclusion Project

About the OIP

The Ozarks Inclusion Project promotes excellence in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Ozarks by intentionally fostering community connections and building organizational capacity to uphold diverse, equitable, and inclusive values. A project initiated by The GLO Center in 2015, Ozarks Inclusion Project offers inclusive and equitable quality trainings, promote lifelong learning, community partnership and an online searchable directory so allies and LGBTQIA+ individuals can find the resources so that all can thrive.

Upcoming Events

NEW GLO Young Adult Group (Ages 18-25)

What: Facilitated by Lou Hood. Come join us for opportunities to socialize and learn what you can do to participate in your community more actively!
When: Every first and third Thursdays beginning August 4. Open 4-9pm, meeting at 6pm.
Where: The GLO Center

GLO Youth's Neon Wasteland Prom

What: A prom where ANY youth aged 12-20 is welcome! Admission is $10 cash or 5 canned goods at the door, which will be donated to a food pantry. All proceeds benefit The GLO Youth Group!
When: Saturday, August 13 from 6-9pm
Where: First Unitarian Universalist Church

Queen City Queer Night | Bark Yard Hangout

What: This month’s QUEEN CITY QUEER NIGHT will be at Bark Yard and feature live music from Shaun Munday! This event will be an amazing night of queer celebration. We can’t wait to see you there! Don’t forget to pre-register your pups!
When: Saturday, August 20 from 7-9pm

Rainbow Kids Back-to-School Pool Party!

What: We have reserved the Nixa Aquatic Center for a PRIVATE pool party for LGBTQ+ kids aged 5-11. Admission is free!
When: Sunday, August 21 from 6:30-8:30pm
Where: Nixa Aquatic Center

GLO's Big Gayrage Sale & Queer Marketplace

What: We are needing donated items for the Gayrage Sale to sell and raise funds! All proceeds benefit The GLO Center programming. The Queer Marketplace is a small farmer’s market layout featuring local queer-owned businesses of all kinds.
When: Saturday, August 27, 8am – 3pm
