The GLO Library

About The GLO Library

GLO Library aims to make queer literature accessible and available to all people in the Springfield, MO region. The library provides a wide range of material and representation from fiction, nonfiction, history, resources, and more with over 900 books in our collection!

We have an online catalogue through Libib to search our library, place holds, and look at your patron account.

To check-out, you must fill out the patron form below. You will recieve an email in 24 hours with instructions on how to use your Libib account.

New Titles

New titles are provided every month thanks to your generous donations. Click any of the titles and the link below to explore our catalogue that is updated weekly. With over 900+ LGBTQIA+ books, you are sure to find your next read!

Check In Process

  • Once new patron form is filled out, you will recieve an email in 24 hours with instructions on how to self check-out through Libib.
  • Through Libib you will create a patron login with the email you used in the new patron form. Click “need password” to recieve your password that is attached to your account.

Check Out Policy

  • Checked out items are good for 60 days
  • Can check up to three books at a time
  • Must return books in order to check out more
  • Books can be dropped off during our regular business hours, in the “return books here!” tray at the front, or through our mail slot during weekends

Failure to return books will result on an account freeze and will not be able to check out more books.

Want to donate books and support a queer owned business? White Rose Books & More has created an online wishlist that ships directly to the center. 30% of sales support an independent, queer owned bookstore fighting book bans across the country!

What: Celebrate this year’s Transgender Day of Visibility with START! We’ll have food, resources, artists, and a wide variety of local vendors to shop with & support.
We encourage our transgender community & allies alike to attend, share this day of growth & celebration with one another, and show that our community is stronger together.

🎙️ Stand Up for GLO with Cassie Duncan ✨

What: The GLO Center is thrilled to announce the Second Annual Stand Up for GLO fundraiser – featuring “Your Dad’s Fav Stand-Up Comedian,” Cassie Duncan!
Kansas City–based comedian Cassie Duncan brings sharp, personal humor to the stage, drawing from her experience as a trans woman while covering a wide range of relatable (and wildly funny) topics. She’s performed across the Midwest – from South Dakota to Nebraska to Iowa – and has hosted for nationally touring comedians Jay Jurden and Amber Autry at the Comedy Club of Kansas City.
